A Quick Thank You Card
I loved these little pinwheels and after seeing this lovely paper I knew I had to make them and put them on a card or something... ended up putting this little "Thanks" card together. I just love it when a paper inspires me!
My Daughter's Birthday Invitations
I am so stinkin' proud of my daughter. She drew a sketch of how she wanted her invitations to look and asked me to cut out all of the images for her but I was not to glue anything together at all, that was her job. She is turning into a true paper crafter:o) The first photo is of her sketch and the next two are of my mock up of what it should look like and the final is her finished result. She did NOT like the Liquid Pearls I put on my cuts, said it was "too fancy". She chose all of the paper and the border punch as she also did not like the one I had picked out lol. Thanks for looking at what I feel is my daughter's brilliant work :o) She made twenty of them and fairly quickly too. She was uber proud that she was able to glue the ice cream top on keeping the swirls even.

Crop night with my sister
It's rare when my sis and I get time away from the sscrubbies (supportive scrapbooking husbands) and kids lately so we made time to have a crop night at the Little Blue House last friday and though we did more chatting than scrappin' I did get a few projects done. Some of the other cards need sentiments stamped onto them and some are for surprises so I won't post those yet.
The first one is a gift tag for my daughter's friend's birthday. She is having a swimming party and I loved this little decal gal from the preloaded Decals cart on the Cricut E2. I made the tag a generous 6 x 6 inch rounded square and used my Crop-a-Dile to put an eyelet for the ribbon so that she could also hang it in her room afterwards.
The second is a card for a girlfriend's new baby boy (not so new as I'm late with this card, but those that know me, what is new lol) Those are his initials and the baby bottle matches the bottle in the card stock even in color... took my inspiration from this lovely paper. EK Success punch along the bottom in that cool "plaid" look.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy. Leave me some love:o)

Surf's Up
I am so behind on my scrappin'! Thought I would finally get last year's Girl Scout Daddy/Daughter Dance photo scrapped since I now have this year's dance photo to scrap too. I used one of the newer seasonal cartridges, Luau for the cuts on this LO. I hadn't printed out my journaling before I took my photo of the LO so that's what's going in the big open space LOL. I love how the surf board looks like the one in the photograph (which happens to be my husband's surf board).

Confirmation Card
One of my dear friends asked me to make a Confirmation card for her nephew and I was happy with the results. Masculine cards are usually harder for me as I tend to devote my creativity to my really girly princess LOL but this one was fun to make. I had this Faith paper from Paper Studio and just love the colors (they also lend themselves to masculine cards very well). The bible cuts came from the book in Graphically Speaking and the cross and ribbon label are trusty Spellbinders.
Inside is a basic pocket for a wonderful gift card for the happy occasion. I also had the wonderful brads (yes, it's a brad) from Making Memories of various crosses and this one with the dove on it suited a Confirmation card so perfectly. Felt it would make a great bookmark and look like an authentic one to boot.

LaLa Land Stamps
Meet Marci from LaLa Land Stamps. She comes in the best poses and has a wonderful friend Luke. These are just the most darling stamps! This was one of the Make and Takes at their booth at CHA and I just love this girl. I had a lot of fun coloring this image with the Copics they had for this Make and Take. Large nice areas to color and the loveliest little mouth that is just precious too.
Go check out their website and blog to see all of their creative and gorgeous stamps! http://www.lalalandcrafts.com/
I know http://www.7kidscollegefund.com/ is carrying them.

More photos from CHA
Well, I'm a bit behind but I will try to put up some more photos from Los Angeles. LOTS and lots of walking but it's always fun. The big theme at a lot of booths were the phenomenal paper dresses and gorgeous flowers. The talent of some of these designers just amazes me.
There were gorgeous flowers from Prima coming out that will embellish just about anything and just adds that WOW factor!!

Winter CHA photos!
CHA has been a blast and there has been so much to see and take in. Lots and lots of beautiful new embellies and paperlines and ideas for amazing home decor using just your basic scrapppin' stuff! The ribbons were so elegant, fun, filmy and gorgeous! Lots of beautiful choices for all of your favorite LSS's and online shops. I of course, wanted them all! Viva Decor dazzled as always and the big news from ProvoCraft is the next generation Cricut Expression 2 (E2). It is more streamlined than the original E and with the larger, colored LED screen, it eliminates the need for a keypad and overlay! And it should be WiFi capable a couple of months after it's official release April 26th on HSN. That's right, WiFi... no more cords or dragging your E to your computer and vice versa. Perhaps even more exciting is the Cricut Chat Room online. It's a Gypsy, Design Studio and more rolled into one but even better! It's online so it's available anywhere anytime that you log on and the applications that you can do with it are amazing. Being able to type your titles, phrases, etc is such a simple thing but something many of us have been begging for. And welding... it's never been easier. There are tons of youtube videos showing it in action and I encourage you to check them out. I didn't film any since there seemed to be an overload of videos out there but they are all good. The absolute best part... it will be FREE OF CHARGE! Yes, FREE. And for me, mac compatible, finally!! You'll be able to save all of your projects on there, share them via email, view every image on every cart PC makes from every feature key all on your own computer or laptop screen. For those who purchase an E2, when that goes wireless, you'll be able to cut without any cables hooked up.

Mary at CARDZ TV http://cardztv.blogspot.com/ challenged everyone to make a LO or card with a cupcake on it. I made this card with the cup cake and horn blower from the Celebrations cartridge. Inked the edges and stickled some sprinkles on top, then had some scraps leftover and made a few more cards. ProvoCraft is saying goodbye to the Celebrations cart so thought I would use cuts from this one. It's an oldie but goodie.
Stampscrapart Tour in Mesquite
Hi everyone! I took Olivia to the stamping convention in Mesquite about an hour away. She LOVES doing the make and takes and on her own picked out her hat to wear along with her Aggie (Texas A&M) shirt with full bling and her little backpack full of snacks. Almost everyone had to stop and tell her how cute she was so along with the 10 projects she made, she was constantly beaming and almost floated to the car when it ended :o)
Lots and lots of super cute and fun stamps and techniques there. Finally saw the Heartfelt Creations stamps for the Spellbinders up close and the lady demoing them did a really great job. Ended up with 2 of them for my Blossom Nesties. (It was also O's favorite make and take).
Not too crowded on Sunday so O and I were able to enjoy and browse and shop.

So hubby sends me a text asking if I will make a birthday card real quick (gotta love that) for a coworker with a soccer player wearing a white cowboy hat on it. Okayyyy... apparently it's an inside joke there but I threw one together for him. All who signed it were quite pleased so that made me happy:o) Soccer player from Sports Mania cut at 4.25 with a cowboy hat from Old West sized down on the Gypsy to 0.51. Lettering from Varsity (Cricut Lite from WalMart) and welded together. Although the cut has the soccer ball cut with it, I had these adorable soccer ball buttons so I just set that down over the paper ball.
